Ya I broke the replacement frame. Trek replaced the Rig that snapped with a carbon fibre Superfly frame, which I thought was generous, but it cracked on the top tube seam and moved 3/4in around the tube. Trek shop told me Trek has discontinued the Superfly Singlespeed and that there have been problems. Three weeks now and still no word back on what they will do. I asked for another Rig. To be honest I loved the Superfly but that carbon is much too thin to believe it could really work? Got only 25 rides on it! At least most of them were good rides doe in Copper Harbor, CAMBA, Nicolet Roche, Underdown, Levis Trow, and then 9Mile finished it.

I have a friend that worked at Trek and he said the Superfly was called " One a Day". They would get at least 1 a day returned broken.

Oh man... I heard about your Superfly Steve O'Punc... Makes me a bit nervous about my Remedy. Any one know if the Remedy has a beefier carbon?

    same carbon

Same carbon, you'll be lucky to sell it for $800. I will generously offer you $900.

I have not heard any rumbling of Remedies breaking.

I have a riding bud who converted a geared Superfly to one gear, no problems yet but he rides the road mostly. He will be happy to hear this.

Regardless of that darn crack and not having heard from TREK yet, I decided to put miles on it at the Gnomefest. About 40 miles and the crack hasn't grown so... Gonna ride it till it really breaks!? Planning a trip to Copper Harbor next week and it would be nice to have the replacement.
