More goats stolen in central Wisconsin

More goats stolen in central Wisconsin

LOWEL, Wis. (APP) - Sheriff's officials are investigating a third set of goat thefts in central Wisconsin.

Dodge County sheriff's officials say six goats were reported stolen Thursday afternoon from a town of Lowel goatery.

They are investigating whether it's related to two other incidents in the last month in Green Lake County and Dodge County that left more than 100 goats missing.

Dodge County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Bob Lauderdale suspects that the fall gnome migration is at the root of these goat thefts. Since 2003 gnomes from around the Midwest have flocked to central Wisconsin for a late summer festival called Gnome-Fest. Gnomes have domesticated goats and ride them like bicycles. He advises farmers to mark their goats for identification purposes.

That's funny......no, no stumps, but sheer cliffs and drop offs and a bit of sand we haven't swept up yet.
    Hope you like our trails....
