Fall get together at Petrifying Springs?

Anybody interested in having a get together at Pets? I'm new to biking and think it would be fun to do a group ride, have a cookout, and "talk shop". Since it isn't a "regulated" bike trail there are little trails everywhere that some of us might not know about. I know there are places better than Pets, but I think it is a great little place, plus I know it is close to home for quite a few riders.

    Any thoughts?

Well, it doesn't seem to be much interest, but just in case some of you don't know about "Pets" here is a nice wright up. I believe by someone on these forums.

I ride there a couple of times every week and was thinking a fall GTG and do some trail labeling would be fun. It would be nice to just mark out a couple of loops. I still get lost there occasionally. LOL

I also go several times a week. A lot of times pulling my 4 year old son on a tag-a-long. There are so many side trails it is easy to get lost.

I would be interested in riding some new trails.

I have been tempted to drive down from Milwaukee but like you said, the trails are just not marked well.

Work 9-5 so Sat/Sun work best.

I am going to try and get a small group ride there tomorrow, most likely mid afternoon if you want to come down. I can let you know later an exact time.

    **edit** No group ride tomorrow.

Going to ride at Petrifying Springs tomorrow morning. I'm going at 9:00 if you want to meet me there. Parking lot across from the baseball field by the dog park on the south side of the park by the entrance off of JR. Maybe go for an hour or two. I'll be the big guy on the orange Trek.

What a great ride at Pets today! Couldn't ask for better weather and excellent trail conditions! Have to do it again!
