Coming up to the Twin Cities, need ride recommendations!

My girl and I are coming up to the Twin Cities for memorial day weekend and we are looking for some ride recommendations. We are already planning to hit Lebanon Hills, Wirth Park, Murphy-Hanrehan Park, and maybe the Minnesota River bottoms.

Any other good rides in the area? My girl isn't the most technically proficient rider so we'd like to keep it smooth and flowing.

I like the topology of Elm Creek but not the topography. If you want more technical riding with a heap more of up/down, go to Hillside Park in Elk River. Funnest trail in the TC area. Hillside is only about 15-20 miles north of Elm Creek.

Hillside is cool, but if your girlfriend is not too technically proficient, I would probably pass on it. Elm Creek, Theo, Lebanon, and Murphy will all be fun and will be fine for your girlfriend.

I think we are going to divert the vacation towards the Chequamegon area due to all the rain the Twin Cities got over the last few days...

Then it's the CAMBA trails out of Hayward (Hatchery Creek and Makwa), Ojibwe in Cable, or Rock Lake/Namakagon just further east on G out of Cable. Fabulous!

Many Twin Cities trails are closed this weekend due to the wet trails but people have reported that the CAMBA trails were in great shape today.

Hatchery creek is my girls new favorite trail! Good riding in the chequamegon as well as good people.

Spent Sunday in Duluth. Loved it. Lake superior is truly overwhelming. We'll be back!
