    1st WORS race 5/17

Iola is on Sunday, 5/17. if you have not ridden there u should it's a cool place and 1 of my faves.
i registered for the WORS series and was pleased that the prices have not gone up too much. maybe after paying for road and supermoto races on my motorcycles for 5 yrs my perspective is off but it seems pretty cheap.
i'll be racing comp and sprang for a personalized #. i'll be 1121 on my rigid black Supafly.
who else is gonna be there?

i'd be there if i wasn't stuck in rhode island for the weekend. not my favorite course, i wish they would change SOMETHING once and a while. i've raced it ~ 5 times and it's been the exact same course. it's not a bad course, but some change would be refreshing.

wow. i forgot how crowded the fields are in WORS. the 1st 3 miles of the 1st lap was wall to wall, bar to bar people. i was riding well and feeling good until some 1 zigged when i thought they were going to zag on a climb. they crashed into me and i crashed into another dude. we all went down and i bent my chain pretty bad. i finished lap 1 but my chain would not stay on the cogs so i DNF'ed. i was pretty bummed. this is not how i pictured my return to mtn biking. oh well. it's a long season.

You bet it is. You should definitely check out a race or two and see for yourself. There is a WORS race right in your (and mine) back yard coming up in August. Another race this saturday (6/20). If you don't want to race but check out the scene pm me and I can give you a ride.

WORS is very beginer friendly. Depending on your abilities, you could enter as a Citizen, or as a First Timer.

If you havent found it yet, more information can be found at www.wors.org

Eau Claire (firecracker) is a great race I do every year. Very fast with cool downhill switchbacks that are burmed quite well.
