I knew it was wishful thinking, but I hiked Winona to see if anything would be ridable soon. As I suspected, plenty of mud. The warm temps have thawed everything, and there's just enough snowmelt that the limited sun isn't drying things out. At least there isn't much snow left to melt, so the ground can begin to dry.

Now for the good news, the mysterious crew has the trails in good shape. Any damage from the ice storm has been cleaned up. I haven't been there all winter but it looked like people have been riding and clearing fallen trees. Whoever you are, thanks. I look forward to a few warm sunny days (or another cold stretch to freeze the ground) to make a few laps.
