What a great surprise!!!! Was there last weekend. Trail was supper fun and lots-o-flow. Really liked the place. Nice construction, eye on the terrain, and great signage!

Kudos to the HMBA trail crew! Did HMBA do the mech build on some sections or was it contracted out? Either way nice job, will be back!! Thanks!

a 2008 State Trail Grant allowed us to hire a professional trail building contractor, Spectrum Trail Design. They did mechanized trail work on several of the trails.

When we have funding, we use a hybrid construction model where the contractor works with our volunteers. The contractor runs the equipment and the volunteers do a lot of the grunt work to reduce the trail per dollar cost and to build additional features.

The 2008 State Trail Grant was used to build trails at Versailles, O'Bannon Woods, Brown County, and Harmonie State Parks.

Versailles also has a lot of hand built trail. We like to see a mix of hand built and machine built trails. And most of our machine built trails have some hand built sections.

I should note that much of the hand built single track was designed by Guy S. He has also been at work in Muscatatuck Park, which is between Versailles and Brown County State Parks. If you like the flow of Versailles, you should check out Muscatatuck.

We also get a lot of support at Versailles form CORA (Cincinnati Off Road Association).
