New Trail System Approved in Northeast Ohio!!!

The Rust Belt Revival Trail Coalition, ODNR, and IMBA partnership are proud to announce the approval of the first professionaly designed and machine built trail system on ODNR property! This is a great thing for the trail starved northeastern Ohio. This project is just in the planning stages as we must work with our awsome Eastern District Regional Park Manager to locate a trail designer to work with! So if you are reading this and would like to help with this project, please reach out and support the RBRTC and IMBA to help finish this great trail system! Stay tuned for updates!

Wish it was a little closer to home (Painesville), but super excited about this.

Yes as we are getshust. There is still a lot to do before construction begins. The RBRTC is a small young IMBA Chapter with a big heart. We will get it finished and it will show what a small organization can accomplish with corroboration of THE ODNR, and IMBA!

We are moving ahead slowly Jeff. The recent insurance issues with IMBA has things a little mixed up. We were just there and laid out another mile+, There is a process that we are following to insure everyone gets what they deserve. I beleive ODNR will like what we have recently laid out and will give it thier approval. The site is a tough one for many reasons but the lack of elevation is a big one, and will require more than just walking around and putting trails in to use up acreage. The plan is to OK the first 3-4 miles of trail by the ODNR, that will be followed up with education of the local park staff on proper trail building and then we will bring in the equipment to complete the heavy earth moving and benching. Then we will announce trail work days to allow everyone that wants the opportunity to come out and be part of finishing up the trails.
