    Local riding near Toledo

I'm looking for some Toledo area riding. Doesn't need to be epic, just some decent local riding for a couple of weekday spins.

I'm from Michigan, and am familiar with the major trails in Ohio. Asking on behalf of my brother, who lives down there, and wants to prep for trip to Copper Harbor later this year.

A quick search turned up Jermain Park and some two track stuff. Any hidden gems, or off the grid singletrack around? Maybe good urban riding?

    Local riding near Toledo

I have family in Toledo and every year I perform a futile search for trails.

I'm from south of Cleveland. There's some stuff here but not much around Toledo area. If I were in Toledo, I think I'd be driving into Michigan. Yankee Springs? Ft. Custer? Good luck. Let us know if you discover anything. Take a look at ohiosingletrack.com as well as spokejunkies.com. They will both have reviews and locations of most known, legal ohio trails. Hope that helps.

Jermain/Ottawa Park. Trail head is behind the tennis courts at Jermain Park. Ottawa park section got opened up this pas weekend. There are around 7 miles of trails out there now. Like you said it isn't anything epic but enough to have fun. They are constantly working on making more technical stuff and the new section will be fast and flowy once the trail gets packed down and dries out.

Unfortunately nothing will truly prepare him for Copper Harbor. Maybe some trips to Poto or the like!

I lived in Toledo for a year, and the only semi decent trail is Jermain Park. Other than that T-Town is a void, as in avoid don't go, move somewhere else if your into cycling....

I have some friends that live in Toledo and Jermain park was the only thing I've rode....but it's not very long.

If you ever head towards Fort Wayne bring your bike, Franke Park is great!!
