Riders in Indiana (or visitors to the Hoosier State), the Hoosier Mountain Bike Association website has received a major overhaul to be more useful to you. We are working on filling up our new calendar with rides, races, and other events in Indiana and those outside the state that may be of interest regionally.
We are also building out a Trail Guide to help riders find places to ride around the state, and get around when they visit. We have been putting the trails up on MTBProject so riders can access them on our website (using embedded dynamic maps), on the MTBProject website, and via their mobile app. On the MTBProject website, you can download .gpx files you can then load onto other GPS receivers. This is a pretty labor-intensive project, so addition of more trails will be slow work.
On my project list for 2014 is to get the last couple trails in the Indy suburbs, and then dive into the Bloomington/Brown County area some more. BCSP is up there, but I intend to add the HNF (Nebo and Hickory), Wapehani in Bloomington, the fire roads in Yellowwood SF, VBR, and Gnaw Bone Camp. Beyond that, we will see if I can get more added. In the HMBA Trail Guide, each trail system gets a dedicated page with details, trail maps, weather information, and river information (where applicable)
The HMBA forums are little-changed currently, but may be receiving some slight organizational and cosmetic changes. They are now available using the Tapatalk app, just like MTBR.
