    Cave Run Trail conditions?

Planning a weekend trip to Cave Run in the next 2 or 3 weeks. How bad are the trails, it's been several years since I visited?

Wondering if the drought conditions have helped repair the damage caused by the horses?

I am aware of the National Forest study, and proposed trail changes, but don't think any of that has changed anything yet.

How bad did the June/July storms hurt the system, many trees down?

    Probably camp at Zilpo.

Thanks for the reply. I went, and of course was disappointed due to the trail conditions, but I know about what is currently going on down there. I'm hoping the Forest Service can make some good decisions, those trails were awesome about 10 years ago.

I know now, it will take some time to whip the trails back into shape.

I haven't ridden Caney in 20 years, I did the buckskin trail loop on the south west side of the trail but I went out there last fall and it was unridable. Hopefully the initiatives they have going on out there will improve things.
