    trail conditions near ann arbor

I'm going home tomorrow for spring break from my school in the u.p. and I've talked to my mother and she was saying that there's no snow sticking to the ground but she doesn't now how the trail conditions are and I was wondering if they were ridable. Mainly how icey/snowy/mucky are they?

    thanks for any quick replies

I live in Dexter, have not ridden the A2 trails in several weeks. I was out skiing at Poto yesterday and there is about five inches of new snow on top of some ice. Most anything that has been hiked on is very rough from the frozen footprints. We are supposed to get about 6" late friday/early saturday. Riding in all that will be difficult. The ten day extended forecast shows fairly warm days with nights below freezing. You might be able to get some morning rides in before things get too mushy/muddy. My guess is the frozen trails will become quite icy. You will probaly prefer studs if you have them. Hope this helps.
