    Boyne Mountain Race?

    Hey guys,
From Toronto, will be staying at Boyne Mountain for some R&R and noticed they happen to have a race the same weekend.

Wasn't originally planning on riding, but is it worth it? How is the race? Fun? Good organization?

Boyne is one of the best courses in the state! Pretty well run by a very experienced promotor. It's a must do if you are staying there........

Be prepared...its a good course but a tough one. Or at least the one they setup for one of the races I did there earlier this year.
Mountain biking is not about how fast you go, it's about how many new friends you have at the bar after the ride.

    Wow... now I'm so tempted.
Instead of some R&R with the girl, might have to drag my bike along for 1 final race of the season!

Boyne is the best race venue still used in lower Michigan. The fall colors should be great as well. The course usually is about 9-10 miles through the hills and is mainly singletrack but it is very easy to pass through most of it. Figure roughly 1,000-1,200 feet of climbing per lap.

I doubt it. The fall Boyne race is not a highly attended event as most of the season is over and only the dedicated are still racing. Plus it is a fair distance form the majority of the population centers. You can check previous results here. http://funpromotions.com/cross_count...ke_results.htm
