Bought my son his first real mountain bike.

Yesterday I stopped by the local bike shop (South Lyon Cycle) and bought my 11 year old son his first real mountain bike. We have been mountain biking together for about 2 years, figured it was time for him to upgrade. I got him a Gaint Boulder, red and black. You should have see the look on his face when I got home from work and this bike was on the back of my truck, made it all worth it. First thing out of his mouth was "Can we go to Island Lake this weekend". I am sure this will be one of many bikes he is going to have thoughout his lifetime. Hope I will be able to stay up with him now, he is getting to fast.

Awesome story. Few things are more fun than buying a kid a new bike. Having your kid ride along with you is one of those things.

That's great!! My oldest son and I used to ride together quite a bit but now he's busy with all the high school stuff, so I'm waiting on my 11 year old to get tired of his BMX bike so we can do some mountain biking together.
