Looking forward the series. Did a good portion of the SCRCS series this year and had a blast. Having an LA series is going to be awesome.

You bet, of the 7 rounds, racers may drop one. If a racer competes in all 7, their lowest score is automatically dropped. The caveat is the drop provision only occurs if all 7 rounds occur; i.e. no weather cancellations that cannot be rescheduled. Unlikely, but possible nonetheless.

For technically, one of the flattest states in the nation, I'm pleased to share with you all that the 2011 Louisiana State Championship Series features seven trails that are as distinctly different as they could be.

Many of us haven't ridden all seven yet. So, in an attempt to describe all the trails, I've come up with a rating system. I've rated the seven trails on seven qualifications, relatively, 1 being least, 7 being greatest. Of course my ratings are subjective, that's part of the fun. And trails with numbers in the middle may be "just right," according to your tastes.

Enjoy, and submit your own! More info on the 2011 Louisiana State Championship Series:

BEAST MASTER - May 8th 2011 - St. Francisville, LA

Alright, there's no rest for the wwwicked. We kicked things off in Louisiana with LOCOfest and 130 racers. That'll be quite a hard act to follow, but the state championship goes through St. Francisville, and if you want it, you've got to face The Beast (* the series is open to residents of all states and right now Texas is kicking our behinds, help!).

Bumpity bump! Time to register online for race #2 in the series. Come out and ride the trail on a fine Good Friday, there were plenty of us out there today.

Check out my root removal weapon! I got several really tricky sections tamed but not sanitized today.
