About 3/8 mile west of the Jackson station on the Longleaf Trace on the right side of the road you'll see a labelled pine tree on with a 4 wheeler climb just past it. At the top of the climb the trail starts to the left. It's a work in progress but it looks like it will be a blast when it's done.
I need to get down y'alls way and check out the trail off of Hwy 15 (I can't remember the name). I just got my bike and am trying to get back into any shape other than my current pear shape.
Got some more progress done on it. I cleared a few logs off of it this morning, if it was dry there would be about another 1/4 mile of trail to ride. A few spots need touching up with a weedeater but other than it's looking good.
We extended it another 1/4 mile or so, with at least that much roughed in Christmas Eve. May try another workday this weekend. I'll try to get some pics of the new section.
Looking good, but you gotta quit cutting all those down trees out. Looks like that pine was about 12-14". That can be ridden by a lot of people. The ones that can't can step over it. No shame in that.
As people do ride over them, it will wear down from the chain rings to 10" or so, and most can get over that. Just a suggestion

I'm just the manual labor, they say cut and I cut. I'm one of the ones who would have to walk it, btw 'cuz I'm just now getting back on a bike and I have NO skills.
