There is going to be a big group get together out a LB next weekend. Sat we will hit the trails with tools to clean things up and Sun hit them with the bikes. If you have never been there its a great chance to enjoy with the locals. Most scenic trail in the state for sure!

Arkansas! Trail wraps around a peninsula at the east end of Lake Ouachita.

Ah sweet. Had never heard of it. Just got a mtb. I'm from Fordyce. Just trying to learn where all the trails are and this one is only like 2 or 3 hours away.

come on over Saturday and you'll meet a bunch of central Ar. riders. Little work then a little play. Several camping overnight then riding again Sunday!

Thanks for the invite! I'd love to go. But i still have to get the wife a hard tail. We are currently upgrading from cannondale hybrids. Hopefully I will find her one by spring.

Yo DunWeezy, Here are a couple great trails not far from you: Fern Hollow Multi-Use Trail - White Oak Lake State Park - Arkansas Hiking Trails - Arkansas Mountain Biking Trails and Cane Creek Lake Trail - Cane Creek State Park - Arkansas Hiking Trails - Arkansas Backpacking Trails - Arkansas Mountain Biking Trails both are good trails to get started with mountain biking in Arkansas. Also, if you want to learn something about building trail check this event out: Subaru-IMBA Trail Care Crew: Bluff City, AR You can just do the Saturday thing and get some nice trail Karma.

wow thanks again for the great info! you have helped me out a lot! sadly i cant attend the event at bluff city. I have a military drill that weekend. I did register for the one at west fork this weekend though. its a 5 hour drive but i think it will be worth it. besides never really been to that part of the state and want to get familiar with the area because I plan on doing a little racing if I ever lose some fat lol. thank you again for all the help! I am so glad I found these forums.

oh and i forgot to ask is there anything else about this event I should know? Is there a fee? I registered and saw no entry fee. any good places to stay or maybe camp? the weather is looking pretty cold but dunno for sure. it is Arkansas lol.

Camp at White Oak Lake, otherwise the closes hotel is in Camden or Prescott. No fee. White Oak Lake State Park adjacent to Poison Spring State Forest in southern Arkansas - Arkansas State Parks
