What to ride in Marquette if only in town for one day??

I am bringing a 5" travel full suspension 29er to Marquette for a day and was wondering what trials I should hit?? I am a intermediate to advance rider. What bike shop should I hit and support??

    Any info would be great!

South trails are probably the best for a few reasons...they are mapped and marked, they are "flowy" and lightly technical, they are close to town.

Trails that are north of town are more technical and not marked. Chunky.

Quick Stop Bike Shop on 3rd street is a great shop. Nice guys. Will chat with you even if you buy nothing. They have free maps (as do the other shops).

Have fun...Marquette is an excellent place for riding.

Pretty much what he said, however there is plenty of free-ride, more technical options at the south trails. I would urge you to head there. Some are not marked well, but talk to a local or someone (like myself) who hangs out at the south trails all the time, and we'll tell you where to go. The ski hill (MQT mtn.) would be great for some more technical stuff. Lots of new trail is being built there too, and its a lot of fun. Marquette has some of the best riding in the midwest if you ask me. Worth the trip!
