Rigid or not at Ft Custer

Hi all, I'm racing my Surly 1X1 at Ft. Custer this Sunday. I currently have the stock steel fork on it and 2.55" weirwolf LT tire up front. Is there any sections that will be hard to handle with this setup? Am I better off running a suspension fork? The handling gets a little sluggish with the sus fork so if it's fairly smooth with many twists I'll want to stay rigid. I've never ridden there and don't want to be halfway through the race regretting my setup choice.

    Thanks!

Rigid is fine for Fort Custer. Last year I raced on a Surly 1x1 one with rigid fork. I don't think I've ever used a suspension fork on that course.

Thanks Surlygirl. Rigid worked out just fine. I am actually glad I didn't have suspension with all those twists and turns I needed all the steering precision I could get.
