    Porcupine Mtns Biking

    Hey all,

We're looking at going to the Porcupine Mtns State park Labor Day weekend. According to the Michigan DNR website biking is allowed. Anyone actually ride there? How is it?

Yes, and those trails bite for cycling. Designating these ski trails as "bike friendly" must be part of making them multi use. They're not, and we won't bring a bike with us to ride any "off road" paths at the Porkies.. We do LOVE the porkies for hiking. If you'd like to ride some purpose built trails while in the area, you'll need to come to the Keweenaw for that.

    Hope that helps

That actually does help quite a bit. Might have to hit up CAMBA on the way up and Porkies on Sunday/Monday then. Don't know that we'll be able to make it that far north to hit up Copper Harbor... this weekend anyway.

    Thanks!

If you can't make it to Copper Harbor, try the Michigan Tech trails.
