    Fort Custer Status?

This nice weather we've been having over the past few days has gotten me thinking about Fort Custer. Has anyone been out there lately to check the status of the trails? I know it's early but I'm just curious.

You might have better luck over on MMBA.ORG or follow this thread there

It is really warming up here so the trails are getting very soft. It will not be long now that the spring thaw should be over the trails here come to life.
Looking at the cake is like looking at the future, until you have tasted it what do you really know? and then its too late.

You've probably been out there by now but I was there late this afternoon and did the red trail (grannies garden 3 times ... a trail marker sign must be down and ended up in a loop ). They were in good shape although cornering was a little unstable with all the dead leaves at high speeds. There's a new bridge going over a tree that was a lot of fun - it wasn't around last spring when I was last down there. Saw quite a few bikes out too!

The warm weather the last couple weeks have most of the southern Michigan trails in almost mid-season form. Much better than last year.

Of course, we'll likely get snow in April.

Thanks for the report, I was out there this past Friday and yesterday. The trails are awesome and totally ready. I was hoping to see some new technical obstacles, but no luck. I wonder who you'd have to talk to to go in and make some stuff out there? I know the SWMMBA does the trail maintenance out there, maybe they'd be the ones to talk to.

Look up BikeFortCuster on facebook. There are trail days scheduled but I don't have it handy. Not sure what's going to be added but they can always use another hand or two.
