    Dual Suspension People: How much travel?

    What do you feel is the ideal amount of rear suspension travel for use on SE Michigan trails (Poto, Island Lake, Highland, Brighton Rec,...)?

    after riding Pontiac lake this past weekend, i wish i had 8" hehe - some of those down hills are getting bad

    i say 5 is just right but my current bike has 6.2.

    5" seems good for aggressive trail riding, might not always use it all but it's nice to have the headroom when you need it.
