WHAT: Fall Harvest Cross-Country Mountain Bike Race & Cross Country Running Race
(Races are a Prelude to the Bike Race “Up North” in November. Participants can
do either race or both.)
WHERE: Lake Orion High School located at 495 East Scripps Rd. in Lake Orion, MI.
Races will take place behind LOHS on school grounds, single tracks, and Bald Mountain Recreation Area trails. Running Race begins promptly at 9:00am followed by the Advanced/Sport Bike Races at 10am and Beginner Bike races at 1:00pm..
RACE LENGTH: Biking and Running races will use mostly same course. Course will be modified to suit weather and trail conditions. Runners = 1 loop Approximately 5 K or 3.1 miles A challenging 6.2 mile loop will be used for Bikers = Open: 4-5 loops Advanced: 4-5 loops Sport: 3-4 loops Single Speed: 3-4 loops Citizen/Beginner: 2 loops 1st Time Racer: 1 loop
REGISTRATION: Opens at 8:00am in the LOHS Lower Natatorium Lobby located behind the North End of LOHS. .
High quality official race T-Shirt will be given to all pre-registered entrants. T-shirts will be given out as long as supplies last.
COST: Mountain Bike Race 1st Timer, Citizen, Sport, Advanced $0-25.00 Early $0-30 Day of race Open $25 early or $30 day of race, $20 of Open entry toward cash award
Running Race $20 Early registration $25 Day of race
Add the the Run or the MTB race for $10 off the day of fee of the second race. Day of registration only.
$5 Rebate/Discount for anyone bringing in 3 Non-Perishable food items day of race (limit one discount per entry)
AWARDS: Top 3 Open Men and Women receive % of Open registration net entry for their class 1st place =50% 2nd place =30% 3rd place =20%
Medals to Top 3 Finishers in each Class/Division, & Lots of food and beverages
