Anyone doing Chain Drive this weekend?

Curious to see who all on here is going to the Chain drive race in houghton/hancock MI on the 18th?

I haven't been there the past 2 years, but I remember it being a pretty fun course. Planning on camping that weekend and riding in Copper harbor the next day! EXCITED!

I'm planning on doing the 32mi. I pre-rode parts of the course this week and it looks fun.

It seems to finally be drying out here after all the rain we have had this spring. The Chain Drive course was mostly dry Wednesday but we had some rain last night and possibly some more later today. Also looks like there's a chance of rain Saturday: weather.com/weather/5-day/Houghton+MI+49931

sweet deal! I'm only doing the 16 this time around, but hopefully it will stay kinda dry.

The only real wet parts were on the 32mi loop but weren't bad. Everything is very doable as long as we don't get an inch of rain overnight.

Well the race was great! Wish my fork had come in, because the course was rockier than I remember, and 16mi with no suspension was kinda brutal. But otherwise I was more than happy with my results for the 1st race of the year! Thanks for putting this event on Chain drive crew! Any word on how many people actually raced saturday?
