    Poll... Mexican Favorites...

    Crew...

What are Mexico's (I mean "your") favorites for the following:

    - Fork
    - Rear shock
    - Brakes
    - Drivetrain as a whole
    - Brand of beer
    - Quesadillas flavor

    Bonus "cool" points for pics.

    Here are mine:

    - Fork: Marzocchi's. My Phaon in a very close second.
    - Magura all the way. Louises if I'd had the money
    - Drivetrain: Any. Just for kicks my next drivetrain most probably will be an X.7
    - Though one... uh, Negra Modelo or Guinness with slight preference for Guinness.
    - Queso con Picadillo

I KNOW i'm not Mexican, nor have I ever been (or had ), BUT I thought i'd show my uber-support by saying that I like Corona. Actually, it's the only beer I can drink without having stomach problem's. Who know's, maybe it's the worm?

Now if you'll excuse me I just remembered that I have a LOT of empty's to take back to The Beer Store. Cool, more money for bike parts!
    I ..... need ..... DIRT!!!!!

May it be the worms in your belly... beer doesn't have worms. At least not Corona. God knows what your liquor store have been selling you.

    - Fork: Marzocchi Marathon S. Simple, plush, reliable, serviceable, ETA. Had a Duke XC. Blew up after 6 months! Glad Rock Shox have turned it round since then.
    - Brakes: Never had hydros, been pretty happy with the BB7s though.
    - Drivetrain: OK, I'll show my age here. Back in the day - Suntour XC Pro GreaseGuard. Today, love XT non-rapidrise, but rapidfire.
    - Beer: A good hand-pulled pint in a Yorkshire pub. Theakstons XB and Taylors Landlord come to mind.
    - Quesadilla: Queso con Picadillo, Queso con Hongos

Believe it or not, those BB are still high on the 40 bucks... not collectors items, the thing just is superb.

(But I'm lusting after an SKF BB now.... yummy)

I'd love to build up an old school rig with that gruppo. Remember when bikes came with entire groupsets? My 90 Stumpjumper Team was XC Pro throughout - including the seatpost.

Yup... a friend of mine had both a Diamondback Ascent and a Schwinn Paramount MOS... both had LX and XT respectively all the way around. It was hubs, drivetrain complete to BB, brakes, seatpost and headset!!

Ahhh... the memories... Don't you find creepy that we used to ride those machines??? Would you ride them as your MAIN RIG nowadaws??
