Ilustrated journey into Valley of the Brute..er.. Brave... (pic intensive)

Okay, this post is to compliment my other one.

We did this ride on february 10, 2007...

This is just on the bus, me just playing along with the camera waiting to arrive at the destination.
    This is Octavio.

    This is Paco.

And this is how some bikes got to travel first class on a Guajolojet Special.. (the others were in the beast belly)

This is just a sky shot that I really liked. Some clouds were gray and were threatening to rain eventually...

We got everybody to start preparing their bikes....

This is Itzel, who is very good at the age of 10, and a very fun company.

This is Jorge de Avila, the group leader and organizer, from Bici y Montana...

The first climb section, pretty easy and nice views... unfortunately, no butterflies...

Octavio showing that he felt that climb was easy...

Probably Paco was getting tired of my playing the photographer...

This view greeted us at the top of the climb....

Some group shots at the top...

This is the downhill after the top of the hill. Short, easy and fun for everybody...

After the downhill section, this greeted us...

    Group pics..

A married couple that were mountain biking for the first time.... they did very well...

    Now, company forward!

We got to a dam, and some very nice pics!

Okay, this just looks too good, so again, some wheels and fork!

Some of the female company in the group...

We were 33 riders! big ride!

After the valleys, a bit of climbing...

Cool 'ol me, having a great time!

Besides that I like the view, and Capilla Vieja is placed about halfway, that bike reminds me of my Jekyll I had a bit ago.

Look at the sky, nice and blue, and hulk rider!

This was a steep downhill where we had the runway front wheel....

While some guys fixed the wheels, if you looked up, you saw this...

Some riders just waited for the Macguiver's followers came with a way to fix the wheel...

This is how one hour of brain digging at the middle of nowhere in a train ended up with.... (it held for the whole ride)

A lot part of the ride was like this. This trail is almost right after the fix...

    Some shot I liked...

And another one at the sky...

This is the first look at the lake, we still have some way to ride still... yeah!

Octavio chatting with the young ones... look at the trail, it was like that also for a while, but it got some nice fast sections... good traction!

As usual, I end up having too much fun on singletracks to take action pics, but this was when we stopped to wait for everybody..

    Another pic of a kid..

Guess what? Another sky shot! it was getting later in the evening...

    Having a rest stop...

Now, the worst climbing section on the whole ride, and I only took one pic...

We were waiting for the rest of the group to start the final descent into Valle de Bravo.

Again, too much fun for pics on the downhill section....

And this is one of the first houses in Valle proper...

    Ta da! end of story...

It was a pretty fun ride!

It was the canon point and shoot, I like it a lot for that. The Alfa is too big and bulky for riding. I would be too concerned of a fall, and taking it out to take a shot would be too clumsy!

Yep, I haven't had a chance to ride with Ingrid (I had ridden with Richy before), and she's very nice.

Thanks! That mountain is the "Nevado de Toluca", and there are also some trails over there... Although I've never ridden them...

Wow, you might think: what king of question is that? But I'm 100% norteño, my family is from Sinaloa and Sonora and I'm from Tijuana so I don't know better about the south, that is why I really like it when you guys post pictures, I learn a lot.

    Cool pics
Ive seen that girl at SNT. Shes pretty har cor for her age..

Hey Roberto, this weekend theres going to be a National Dh race at SNT. We are not going to compete (you need a ANCIG license ) but theres going to be some crazy sh*t going on on the huge gaps they built recently. You should bring that fancy camera of yours and get some sick pics!

No, I don't think that's a silly question. Probably if you showed me something from your ride I wouldn't identify it (unless is 'La Silla' at Monterrey )....

    Sensational photos and sky shots.

Great way to get people out in the dirt.
