Thanks for getting back Bob. I'm new to MTBR and didn't realize you responded a while back. I was trying to get some beta to make a decision on crank length. I'm going to give the 175's a shot.

    Mike,

Somewhat of a complicated questions. So here goes:
When I first got the bike built up, yes had more pedal strikes that I normally had. This could be attributed to the hiher BB on my 6 Pack than the Chili. Alos had more when running in the slacker mode. Now factor in the active nature of the suspension as well.

So now lets fast forward from Octber 2011 to today. Have the suspension set up sorted out. (RP23, shimmed and using PP, wil talk more on this), and for most of our riding around norther NJ the 67 HA is just right. Plus my mind has come to terms with the slightly lower BB overall. So not as many strikes now as back in Oct.

I was never a fan of PP on hte RP23s in the past because they had too much of an effect. The RP23 for the Chili is not so much an on/of switch. So it really acts like a low speed comp setting (which is all PP is anyway).

    Hope that helps,

    Bob
