Hi
My name is Joe Herget and I'm the Executive Director at the US Bicycling Hall of Fame in Davis, Ca. We just received a donated FS bike that I couldn't initially identify (it took Joe Breeze to peg the builder as JP Morgen). After a lot of internet searching, I found your post in MTBr from 2007 with pics of a similar bike (landing gear frt susp/urt sweet spot rear susp). Given your conversations with JP, I was just wondering if you knew anything more about the bike... was this just a prototype phase, was the model ever sold commercially, how many were made, etc? We're cleaning up the one we've acquired and will be placing it in the Hall of Fame's museum this week....
Thanks - Joe
(FYI... we're also kicking off a fantastic vintage MTB special exhibit at the HOF on Saturday Nov 5, 2011, 1-3 pm, with about 2 dozen early MTBs. Joe B, Jacquie P, Ned, Steve Potts, Gary Fisher, are all supposed to be there - spread the word)
