I have used many, even though I didn't do any filming this year. Going back a few years, I used to use my own made platform with a camcorder fasten down with velcroe straps. Then I switched to a more versatile camera (Sony POV) before, going GoPro last year. Quite honestly, I was not a fan of how the GoPro's mounted for racing, but that's what I was filming, so I had to suck it up. They are pretty versatile, I just found that racing and worrying about cams became an issue, so I picked racing instead. However, there are a number of ways to mount the GoPro's front, rear, chest mount, fork, or otherwise. You can play with their mounts too as they come prepackaged, which is quite nice. I had a rear mount made for my Sony cam custom, and even found it had too much vibration when watching the footage. Amazing how you have to develop this stuff to make it work. I hope this helps you decision.
