    Speedball seatpost

I got a new clamp for my Speedball seatpost,
it's the same as the Joplin. The original clamp
failed. I'm having problems keeping it tight.
The saddle won't stay put. I don't want to
tighten it anymore, I think something would break.
I've cleaned it up, there is no grease on it.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Clyde

maybe try some post paste? I am sure your lbs would give you a "dollup" to use.

i believe the trick IS to grease up all of the mating surfaces, so that tightening the bolt produces an effective hold ...

    It's a 120 "/lb torque installation.
