That is one BEAUTIFUL Maverick. I have been shopping bikes lately and can say there is a HUGE (as in ginormous) difference between fair price and market value. In this day of 27.5" this and 12x140 that, the older 26" wheeled MTBs don't fair so well. Your market value will most likely be a lot lower than what would be a fair price for your bike. I have seen ML8s go for $1,000 or less. However, none that looked like yours.

I have been looking for a Durance for some time with little luck, haven't really thought about an ML8 until now. I'll PM you and get a few more details.

I actually have no reason or want to get rid of it! Except my wife said I have too many bikes and I know if I don't get rid of it I will ride it More than my new bike.

I could probably get more selling the parts but that is a pain and I couldnt do that to her.

Planning to sell it with a, just rebuilt, RS 185 Totem (straight steer tube) and wheel. I generally put it on for moab trips. It fits my ml7 but it makes it too slack.

FYI, the ml8 climbs and decends better that the Durance IMHO but some people like the traditional feel of the durance.

Have you emailed Ethan (ethan@mavericksuspension.com)? When I checked with him back in December he still had NOS Durances in stock. I bought one from him in October and couldn't be more pleased.

That sucks. Between the two of us my wife and I have 11 bikes. She couldn't give two $hits if I add another one as long as there's room to store it.

    Good luck with the sale!

She let's me keep them in the dining room to be safe. I shouldnt push it. I think $1600 is fair. I guess I will see what happens.

I think you are in the ballpark with $1600 to the right buyer. Good luck with the sale (keep her together if you can). I'll check my (slim) resources and maybe get in touch with you via PM.

Got offered more than asking but sold it to some else for a bit less (I included shipping) because I know it's going to a good home and that's worth more than money.
