Removing crown race from DUC32 safely?

Before I attempt removing the Chris King crown race, is there any suggestions other than using a flat screw driver? The standard crown race puller is not an option here. I've thought about using a Dremel and separating disc to split the race first to avoid damage to the lower crown seat of the fork. Opinions?

I'll be mounting a Chris King De-evoltion 1.5 race for a Tracer once the old race is off.

    Thanks!

I found an easier way, I lightly tapped a utility blade to separate the crown from the fork. Then with the newly created space, I used a blade from a wood planer to wedge off the race. Just make sure you go edge it slowly off from both sides. Worked like a charm. Much quicker and I was able to save the race.

As for seating the new 1.5 race, I used a 32mm 1/2 inch drive socket.
