Maverick shock weights 7.0 vs 7.2

So I'm looking at upgrading my 7.0 shock to a 7.2 and my question is: How do the weights of each shock compare. I'm hoping I can drop a bit of weight with the change. Does anyone know if this is the case?

    Thanks for your help.

The 7.2 is actually a little heavier. Sorry dude.

On my lame digital bathroom scale, the 7.0 reads 1.0 lbs, while the 7.2 reads 1.5 lbs.

Those are not accurate weights, but the difference is visible.

On the plus side, the 7.2 rides a good bit better (IMO) than the 7.0.

Actually the 7.2 weighs 1 pd 4 oz or 583 gms

Thanks Count Zero. I ended up getting the 7.2 anyway, but wished I'd weighed the 7.0 before sending it back. The 7.2 feels heavier. Maybe because it's aluminum not magnesium. That sux. Well I hope the plushness more than makes up for it.

Anyone have an accurate weight for the 7.0 shock? I know it sounds anal, but I wouldn't mind knowing what this upgrade cost me in terms of weight
