    Fixable Monolink?

Been chasing down a knock for a week or two and finally pulled the external bbracket and there's this good-sized inverted(?) divot/puncture in the underside of the monolink:

I used a dremel to grind it down like this:

Took off a lot -- not completely down -- but actually wasn't enough. Right up against drive side cup so the end of the bb sleeve is right there at the intrusion. Gonna go back and take it all of the way down, but I gotta wonder if the integrity of the monolink has been jeopardized.

    What say you?

    Thanks

You'll know if it's a problem if you go OTB

Finally got to it (2x to get it right) and didn't seem to
Make a difference. Popped the link bolts and cleaned, greased them and bearings and that took care of it.

Monolink divot was just a red herring.
