DIY Rear Shock Rebuild ??
My rear shock has lost its top out O ring (again...) It clunks really badly when returning to maximum extension.
Rebuilding looks a simple nut and bolt job especially with the 3mm hole modification to pressurise instead of using the hyperdermic needle.
Which O ring disintegrates? And what is the dimensions? I need to check I have one or can get one before I start rebuilding.
Is the hydro top out a part (or parts) I can retro fit into my old shock?
In the UK.
Just do it! What's the worst that can happen? You get stuck and have to pay someone to rebuild it.

The top out oring is urethane, but what you should consider is buying the hydro damper unit from Maverick as it has a hydro top out system; no more oring to get chewed up.
