Wompy...close proximation of Landmine Classic route?

hey guys and gals - i don't know Wompy at all, but did the Landmine race last year and really loved the track. It was super fun.

Can anyone please recommend how i might replicate at least part of that? or if that's too cloogy a question or not really doable, just a great loop suggestion would be really appreciated.

I have a Saturday morning ride at Wompatuck at about 9:00. It does not follow the entire route, but it might give you a good flavor of the area. It is not a race paced ride, but more of a bunch of us having a good time in the woods. Let me know if you are interested.

if you have a gps device that you can follow tracks on the 2011 race lap and 2012 race lap are both on strava. you can download them and put them on your gps. it can make it way easier than constantly trying to pull a map out at every trail crossing.

There are orange spray painted arrows all over Wompy that mark the route. Just ride around and look for the arrows and follow them. That's your race loop.

thanks for the last few replies...didn't think of the strava angle. good to know on the orange as well.

And Sir Loin - thanks for the offer, that's great. And i mentioned the Landmine - yeah, i do a few races, but let's just say i'm not podium material -or even close to sniffing it really - so "good time in the woods" is cool with me

I'm headed to what might be a wet, wild, and wooly KT weekend, so maybe i'll ping you later to see if you do other Saturday rides at Wompy.
