    Where is Everybody?

What's going on? No Massatuchetts based riders sending any messages for two days?
Is everyone on a big mourning or vacation trip back there?

I just moved to LA from Walpole and am missing all the wooded challenges back east. It's either up or down the dusty fireroads they call singletrack out here. You guys have it so good. Someone tell me what's happening in the woods around Foxboro, Lynn Woods, Blue Hills and Vietnam.

This time of year you are usually hearing about the temperate climate on the cape and how it is the best riding all year for the region. This year they are trying to figure out where to shovel the post blizard snow storms they are having. The ice from the sea spray is an issue as well for some.

it's good but under 2-3' of snow. I've never seen this much snow. I missed the ' 78 storm but not because I hadn't been born.

Last year was great for most the winter. This year, not so good. The snow is soft and deep.

Yer right. Last year was great. I had no job and rode almost every day, even
after it snowed. This year I have no job and I dodge piles of dog
crap or people all over dirty LA trails.
    East coast riders are tougher....

Too much snow to be riding, plus I am recovering from a knee injury.

I'm making up for a lack of New England MTB in my life with a mixture of snowboarding and beating the bishop. Helps the days to pass...

Nice deck Greg, scary fast! Truly a bargain, thank you sir! Going to be a busy 2005 - Looking forward to busting out the hollowpoint I got meself for Christmas when the snow's out of here. Oh, and going to be a Dad in five weeks, which might put a dent in the outdoor activities a bit.

    See ya out there...

    Nick.

Yes me Aussie mate! Gagging to get out and ride. It's got so bad, I've even been going to the gym. I feel so dirty! Anyway, yup, up for a ride as soon as some of this white shite goes away. Possibly Sunday even - I see there's a few folks going to Borderland...

    conditions back east

Nothing but snowy slushy crap.Lynnwoods is one of my favorite riding areas.Although I'm from So.Maine the short trip is worth it. It's about 40 minutes drive south on I95. There is a lot of snowpack on the ground. Spring is gonna be messy.

... and if we just ... we are snowed in. another 10 feet.

We are buried this year. The trails and roads are buried. Thank God for spin class and an upcoming Moab trip...4 weeks away.

when trails are covered in snow there's nuthin better than busting out xc skis to get an awesome workout and try some new challenges on some familiar trails. Fells and Blue Hills are outstanding for xc. I almost don't want the snow to melt.
