I put my old 1.9 Velociraptors on last month because I figured narrow and hard would dig through the soft snow and they worked pretty well. I used to love these tires and went through several sets back in the day. I went out yesterday and forgot they were still on until I was ready to go but went anyway. Now I can't wait to get those things off. Too narrow to go below 30psi without pinch flatting so they were to hard and didn't seem to want to grip rock. IMO 2.35+ with 20-30psi is ideal for rocky NE trails.

I went out today for about 20 miles. I trashed my last front tire last season late

and so I threw a ...wait for it.... wait for it.... a freakin Trek Big Kahuna lol. The

thing worked great at Bachelor st, sucked up above Mclean reservoir. (upper Yeti)

I think i am gonna go with a Tioga DH F 2.30. Mat over at Peak Performance

talked me into how good a tire it is and that alot of his fellow riders are using them

because they work so nice at Bachelor st. Its tall for low psi and harder durometer

for low resistance. At $35 bucks what the front door , right? If I hate it I'm gonna go

    for a Ardent or Ignitor.

The 2.1 Crossmark worked great that I bought for my last couple of rides late last season , I was running a 2.1 Larson

backwards ( it worked freakin perfect) I got the crossmark mad cheap so I bought that over another Larson. I also run the Crossmark backwords.

2.10 Kenda Klaw XC front and rear. I take it slow and do techy sections so the small tire gets me inbtwn rocks and roots nicely.

I ride with the Fat Albert in front and Little Albert in the rear.
Did you have any problems converting yours to tubeless, and are you happy with the results? I'm strongly considering going tubeless this year but don't want to shell out for new tires (and I LOVE my tire combination - up in Western MA at least).

Just switched from my stock Specialized Enduro Sport 2.2s which were worn out- picked up WTB Velociraptor 2.1s on Blueskycycling.com for $29.99 for the pair! So far I've only ridden about 4 hrs at Harold Parker on them, but I love 'em!

    Panaracer Fire XC Pro's

Can't beat them! Just watch out for Japanese knock-offs, the real ones have a huge white logo on the sides.
