Upton State Forest - solid XC riding, not too intense either so you guys could spend a while getting to know the trails. Makes for a good after work ride. I like to link it with Whitehall State Park for a longer day. Be aware, on the weekends you will find that Upton can be full of equestrians, who may or may not exactly be happy to see mountain bikers on THEIR trails

Also your friend is a short car ride away to loads of great trails, Goat Hill/Ribbon Candy in Northbridge and of course Vietnam.

Rode it this past weekend and it was pretty good. A few wet sections but for the most part all ride-able.

I somehow lost a Sigma BC 1609 wired computahhh in Upton, probably flicked it off while dismounting over a fallen tree. Don't really plan on seeing it again but who knows - thanks!
