Stolen Bike - Davis Square Somerville, MA

    Hello fellow riders!

My beloved Cannondale Prophet was stolen out of my basement by a
realtor/contractor that had access to my apartment. If you guys could
keep a look out for it I would appreciate it. If you see anything
please report it to Somerville Police or message me. It is pretty distinguishable by the Lefty fork but I have also replaced the rear air shock with a coil spring. Another
distinguishing feature is that it has mismatching crank arms
(black/chrome) because I bent one back in the day and the cannondale
shipped one the wrong color under warranty. If anyone has any tips
about recovering a bike, or knows of any other places I should post
to, please don't hesitate to let me know!

    I really appreciate your efforts!
    JR

I'm in Davis Square and ride the trails in the area a lot. I'll keep a look out. Sucks.

Can't you track down the contractor who was there? I'll keep an eye out too around town.

I've tried. I called my landlord and he called all the contractors who were in the apartment. Obviously they did not admit to knowing where the bike is. We have had about 40 people in and out the apartment with various realtors so it would be difficult to interrogate every single one.

I appreciate you guys keeping an eye for me! I am also going to contact the local bike shops to have them keep an eye out.

    Maybe a tip, maybe garbage.

I flew by a truck headed north on Rt 3 while I was headed south, just outside of Nashua. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a black bike with a shiny triple clamp fork. It could have been a prophet, it could have been an intense with a shiver, but as I eye-f*** every bike of value within visual distance no matter where i am, I picked up on it. Might be worth keeping an eye up nawth as well, or alerting the local clubs in that area too.

I wish I could be of better help, but I was headed south @ 75 and he was headed north at about the same, so there was no way to get plates or even confirm that it was your bike. I seem to recall it being a white van or maybe a truck, and it seemed odd that there would one bike on a strap rack on the back of a van, especially a bike of value (as it had a triple clamp fork).
