Robinson State Park Trail Work - Saturday October 24th

On Saturday October 24, 2009, PVNEMBA will be doing trail work at Robinson State Park in Agawam, MA.

Depending on the number of volunteers, we will be working at one or two locations. All locations are accessible from the maingate on North Street. The trail work needed is water/errosion control related.

    Here are the details:
    Time - 8:30 ~ 12:30
Location - Meet inside the main entrance on North Street at the "entrance shack".
Weather - This event will go off in any reasonable weather. Severe weather will cancel.
Work - Will include "de-berming", creating "rolling-grade-dips", and creating "nics".
Tools - I will have many tools with me, but the main tools needed for this job will be shovels, iron-rakes and regular-rakes. Please bring what ever you can. And be sure to bring Gloves.
Other Stuff - You may like to bring bug spray, food, water, and eye protection.

    If you need additional information:

    Event is this Saturday.

With the limited number of organized work events in Robinson and the large number of riders who use the park regularly, it would be great to show the Land Manager our support. The more bodies, the more work we can get done, and the more positive impact our group will have.

If you are limited on time, the first couple hours are most important, but anytime will be great.

Hope everyone can make it out.

    Thanks! Steve

    It's on!

Hello, The trail day is ON.

The weather doesn't look great, but it doesn't look horrible either. It is supposed to rain, but it is not likely to be heavy at all.

Better than missing out on a sunny day of riding!
    ...and free donuts too!!!!

Hope to see you tomorrow at the main gate on North St at 8:30.
    Thanks! Steve
