“Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day” Ride at Robinson
Saturday, October 5th
Next Saturday is IMBA’s “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day” and we decided to do just that! Join Julianne and PV NEMBA for a kids ride on the wonderful trails of Robinson State Park. Miles and miles of smooth, mostly non-technical and twisty singletrack make for an excellent location for kids rides. An excellent place to practice your skills and fun for riders of all ability levels!
Meet at the Robinson Park School at the end of Begley St (off Maple) in Agawam at 9:00am. We’ll ride at 9:30am for 1 - 1 ˝ hours and will break up into smaller groups if necessary. There will definitely be a beginner-paced group but if we get a few more experienced riders we can add a little more challenge to the ride. Back at the school, everyone can practice their skills with an obstacle course and bicycle games! We’ll provide snacks before and after the ride - feel free to bring something to share with everyone!
All ages are welcome, and a wide range of bikes will do just fine for this event! No ideal are skinny tires, run bikes, training wheels, scooters or trailers but just about anything else goes. Helmets and parental permission are required. Kids should be well-fed before the ride and carry water and a snack on the ride. In case of rain, we’ll postpone the ride - give me a call if you have any questions!
