Go to the end of Harold Parker rd and park at the end of the road in the dirt lot. Go through the dirt area next to it and begin to head up the double track 20' max. Trail starts on the right. The Salem pond loop starts there, look for yellow triangle trail markers. Bring yer big boy pants.

oh c'mon, you guys make it sound so rowdy. hp is awesome with plenty of tech, but rideable even on a fully rigid singlespeed, with speed, if you have reasonably quick reflexes and an eye for trail.

20+mile loops pretty easy to put together there which is nice.

Here's some tracks from a ride that follows (with a few wherethefeckarewe moments) the Wicked Ride of the East route. The parking lot leeboh mentions is on the lower left side of the map where HP road T-bones into Jenkins Rd.

    Is this the right place?
I was working in the area today and stoped by to check it out.
Didn't find the yellow triangles trail markers.

Yes, that's the Jenkins lot. If you went straight ahead you would find some of the trails in a short distance

Right from where you took that pic, go straight ahead until you hit trees. Go up the double track 20' , look for trail & follow. Or meet up on a NS nemba thursday night ride.

Actually, there's ST that starts right at the trees in this picture once you're past the field. There's a log feature once you get in the woods. You can stay on this ST and keep jumping the fire-road. The next peice of ST picks up right across the fire-road or no more than 20' away each time.

Haha that's a video game reference to Skyrim. Is it sad that i'm in my early 40's and know that?

I tried to ride harold parker but it turned me into a blubbering idiot, cursing at rocks and trail builders alike. I was not a big fan of the northern most section of trail, between middleton and harold parker. i have to go back and start with the more southerly stuff.

If you'd like to enjoy some company the next time you go, ping me. I have ridden there only a couple of times and always got lost though so I will be of no help as a guide.

That's alright. We could suffer and cry together, and share tissues. Are you around most weekends? Would love to get out again soon, especially now that the krampy is working.

I ride HP 3-4 times a week and know it fairly well if you would like some company next time.
