    FELLS MTB OPENING DAY - April 18th

    *** MIDDLESEX FELLS MTB OPENING DAY CELEBRATION ***

    April 18th

    Presented by MA Department of Conservation and Recreation and NEMBA

    WHAT: DCR/NEMBA Fells Opening Day Rides
    WHEN: All Day! (9am-3:00pm) Saturday, April 18th, 2008
    WHERE: Flynn Rink (see directions below)
    LEVEL: all levels / several groups
    PACE: all - mellow / intermediate / hammer
    TERRAIN: mellow to moderate (with some advanced - perfect for the early season)
    DURATION: many rides going out for 1-3+ hours
    FOOD AT NOON! ... Join us around noon for a bite to eat!
    WHO: you!!!
    411: These rides are open to anyone who is interested in a fun day of riding, as well as NEMBA members and prospective members. It's a great way to get out and meet fellow riders, learn about a great riding area and a great organization, and get a good early spring workout. These rides are open to all levels or riders. There will be advanced, Intermediate, and mellower groups going out at various times during the day - stay tuned we'll put more detail in the event schedule as soon as possible.

    I'll definitely be there. I know a few others coming out too. Been a long wait for the park to open again. I'm most curious about October handmade bikes...

    How'd it go? Bummed I missed out - especially since no one showed up for the Salem Cycles group road ride I went to try and do. Had a great time on my own - but was bummed to miss opening day AND get stiffed.

    Good turnout when I was there (10 to noon). Awesome weather, ride, and people. It was also cool to learn that the east part of the Fells has a lot of good riding.
