Fat biking Great Island, Wellfleet ... where else should I go?

I'm in Eastham w/ my Pugsley.

I'll be riding @ Great Island tomorrow around 1PM (low tide)

I'll have time for one more ride this week.

    Where else should I go?

    thanks!

You could try the gauntlet-the area behind Paine's campground all the way out to the ocean beaches. Getting more and more overgrown, and you can get very close to the ocean and have difficulty finding your way, but there is some fun, if sandy and brushy trail back in there.

Hey, just had a friend tell me about Paines, he's heading up there tomorrow, I'm calling them tomorrow as well....

I need a little vacation, been looking for inspiration, and it seems to be gelling.

So Great Island is legal for riding, and there are trails out behind Paines, if one is willing to route find a little?

Is Paines a cool a place as it seems for camping??

    Thanks for any info!

Great island is legal, check the tide, much of it is inaccessible at high tide.

Gauntlet is legal as well and is great fun on a fatbike. I had a local guide me around so I got the grand tour, but it'll be fun to explore. There are trails and powerlines that abut the trails and go all over the outer Cape.

If you get the chance to hit ipswich, i took my pugs up there and the single track is great... and its even intertwined with double track so the ride home is easy when it gets dark

Where is the trailhead for the Gauntlet? I'm in Dennis with a Moonlander.

Uhhh, ya got me. I don't really know. We start where the rail trail crosses Nauset rd in Eastham, near the gravel pit. Then we follow the powerlines a bit then head east to the old kings highway and follow it north for a few miles to get into it. I'm pretty sure the Guantlet is in between Lecount Hollow Rd and Cahoon Hollow Rd.

Sorry, but I get dragged around by a guide, he fishes for lobsta in the summer, so he doesn't ride much in the summer.
