    Family friendly near Lowell?

Gonna be there June 30th and would love to do a ride. My kids are pretty competent riders and can handle most stuff but aren't too into big climbs. I also don't want to wipe them and the wife out before the Furthur show that night.

Also need ideas for bike friendly motels.

    Thanx.

    Here you go:

You could also consider Harold Parker State Forrest in North Andover.

I dont have any hotel info.

    Good Luck,

I would take the family to Great Brook Farm in Carlisle. Its a lot more family oriented (and MUCH easier to ride) than Lowell State forest.

It costs 2 buck to park, they have maps at the bathrooms and an ice cream place.
its pretty well marked and the trails aren't too gnarly.

I would stay away from Lowell SF with the family to be honest. The single track there is very technical. There are a lot of bugs and swamps there. You will be stuck riding on the fire roads.

Thanks guys. That's what I needed.

Now on to where to stay. Needs to be someplace that will let me bring 4 bikes into the room or has a bike storage area.
