This week, I will lead a skills clinic, followed by a short ride, in Amherst. Learn how to ride over logs and bridges, and how to approach a steep down-/uphill or a step halfway up a climb. Following this we will ride the Robert Frost trail to the Eastman Brook Conservation Area loop (and back) where we'll try to incorporate some of those newly acquired or polished skills!
The ride starts by Puffers Pond in Amherst at 6:00pm. Coming from North Amherst go North on Pine St. and turn left onto State St. Continue on State St. until you pass Puffers Pond on your left. Look for the Kevin flood Access Trail on your ride - that's where we'll start!
Ride time is 6:00pm. Plan to get there about 10-15 minutes early to check your bike and and get ready.
- Bike in good working order
If you're unsure if the ride is still happening (rain, heat, surprise blizzard etc.) call me the day of the ride - leave a message if I don't pick up and I will call you back.
Riders of all skill levels are invited to come. We will make frequent stops and ride at a slow pace, and we will not drop anyone. Feel free to contact me with questions for further information, car pooling or just to let me know you're coming. Hope to see you all soon!
