Rode Batchelor St. twice last week. Actually it was my 1st & 2nd time there... pretty fun place, but my bike is not set up for it. I ride a Cannondale Prophet MX1, and was spent pretty quick. Only got about an hour & half of riding in. Back tracked a few spots on rollercoaster. After riding there last week, I thought my trip to Highland yesterday was well deserved. Maybe I'll see some of you out there. Hope to frequent this place much more often!

It's plush and agile on the descents, but it's a beach to pedal uphill. Plus, no sugarcoating the fact that I'm currently out of shape. I'll be up at the Condo in Waterville all next week. I'll tag along with you guys for one of these soon though. Can't say I'll last 3 hrs. though!

Dang, sorry I missed your offer. By the time I saw your reply this morning, it was already too late to join.
I went ahead and ventured on a solo adventure, taking whatever maps I could find online. Place is sick. Wound up doing what I think was a FE-FS-FO-PW linkup, and then found an awesome windy trail up and down a hill right above PW (seems like it detours away from PW to then reconnect to it). Then I was trying to find the LZ-SP linkup back to the parking lot but seems like I was on SG instead. Awesome! I didn't have enough legs to keep traversing over to JL and RC, but definitely want to check those out next time! All in all it was 8ish miles after which I was completely spent and out of water.

Oh wow that's awesome! And you clearly didn't take all the wrong turns that I did .

That loop sorta looks like a buffalo taking a leap... or a minotaur.

Would love to join, but don't think I can make Sunday morning.

But I am gonna try to go this afternoon, if anybody would like to join. Thinking 5:00. My plan is to find and go up the IMBA access trail and do Jacob's Ladder and Rollercoaster. It will all be new to me.
Paul, any advice on how to maximize the fun on this loop? Or how to not get lost?
If anybody wanna join please let me know...

Awesome, I'm going to be out there all weekend, I am incredibly out of shape so I have to kick my own ass into gear. Literally. Of course I got on my bike for a road ride just to get on it and the chain snapped - hope thats not a sign of my season. Happy riding! If there is ever a group goin out I'd love to join
