2010 Attack Trail best rear shock upgrade

Whats up Marin riders. Picked up a 2010 Attack Trail couple weeks back that has been tricked out. Fox 36 rc2, forumla one brakes, Doppler, and on and on and on. Main issue is the rear shock. Fox rp23 medium tune compression and medium rebound. From what i was told, the front and rear shock were rebuilt and tuned in 2012 at the Sea Otter cassic specifically for this frame. Not sure what that means, but it doesn't feel right. Maybe im just not use to te quad link design yet coming from the cannondale Jekyll. I have read on forums that marzocchi roco piggybacks fit, and the original rock shox just didnt allow the rear suspension to stretch its legs. My question is simple. Has anyone had luck with a certain rear shock on the attack trail frame and if so, what shock.

    Thanks

    Gt

Roco fits and completely changes the bike. Run it a 30% sag and its unstoppable.

Thanks for the reply. Is it the coil over or air roco?

HUGE favour guys..... what is the shock spec for this frame?

Just ordered a 200 x 57 RT3 Debonair for it.... but whilst waiting for it to arrive I took the original old Monarch out and I swear its a 51mm rather than a 57 stroke. Has no markings on to confirm, but using a ruler I just cant see the shock being a 57mm stroke as I had thought. Gutted.

However, if someone can confirm it is indeed 57mm (2.25") I would be real pleased to hear!

    Thanks!

According to Cane Creek's fit finder site, 2009 is 190x50. 2011 is 200x57.

Just unboxed my bike after moving. The Rocco is 200◊57, it's printed on the shock.

    Cheers guys.

Ive just fitted an RT3 Debonair to see what its like.... however thats now lead me onto the loctite/ pivot bearings thread I made.

Anyway.... wont steer this thread away from original topic and will report back how the RT3 is once its all back together.
