'09 hawk hill...I think it's gonna be my first MTB.

I'd been looking at tons of different bikes before I came accross this one, and I must say...this bike is frickin awesome! It's in my range and I think it comes with some pretty good beginners components. Fit and feel is great and I love the all white look! Let me know what you guys think of the hawk hill.
    Thanks, erik.

If this feels right, go for it. The frame is very good and in case you really need it, you may upgrade this and that later on. Just get some help to choose the right size. Most people chooses bike one size too large for them when buying their first mountain bike.
